Tampa Museums
The Henry B. Plant Museum, housed in the Tampa Bay Hotel, is the former mansion of industrial magnate Henry B. Plant. Plant was an important figure in the development of Tampa. The museum features exhibits which delineate the history of the Plant transportation system, early tourism, the Tampa area and the historic Tampa Bay Hotel.
The Ybor City State Museum, located in a former bakery, outlines the cigar industry in Cuba in the 19th century, its move to Tampa and the founding of Ybor City as a cigar manufacturing hub.
